The DS-1 isn’t only one of Boss’ most popular pedals, but it’s even one of the most popular pedals in the world. Distortion is an often used effect because it can turn the sound of your guitar from clean to screaming. The DS-1 was released in 1978 and introduced a powerful new sound. The DS-1 is very simple, but it still offers the possibility to personalise your sound. The pedal contains three knobs: a tone knob, a distortion knob, and a volume knob. With these knobs it’s easy to alter the distortion!
