This is because the keys are made of ebony and they have a Touch Key surface, which means they contain three sensors and counterweights. This will ensure the response is as authentic as possible and the keys will feel as heavy as acoustic ones. The piano has actually more functions than an acoustic one: instead of relying on one sound only, like with an acoustic piano, you can choose between many different pianos that are programmed into the system.
